Microsoft will be increasing pricing of their Microsoft 365 and Office 365 not-for-profit products later this year. A similar increase was recently implemented for commercial customers in line with the transition to the New Commerce Experience framework that Microsoft launched earlier this year. Over the years Microsoft has added considerable value added services under their current pricing model and has held off on implementing any pricing adjustments for a number of years. Microsoft has also indicated that they will continue innovating and adding more features so NFP organisations continue to see the significant value leveraging the Microsoft cloud suite.
How Will This Impact You?
Starting from September 1, 2022, five Microsoft 365 and Office 365 Not-for-Profit products will be subject to an increase in price.
What Will the New Pricing Be?
Updated pricing for non-profits is as follows:
- Office 365 E1: From USD2 to USD2.50 (AUD 3.40*)
- Office 365 E3: From USD4.50 to USD5.75 (AUD 7.90*)
- Office 365 E5: From USD14 to USD15.20 (AUD 22.00*)
- Microsoft 365 E3: From USD8 to USD9 (AUD 13.00*)
- Microsoft 365 Business Premium: From USD5 to USD5.50 (AUD 7.60*)
*Equivalent pricing in local currencies has not been published, however, same percentage increase will apply. The price increase applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions and will be effective from your next renewal after September 1, 2022. It is important to note that there will be no changes to the donated SKUs. Ten of the Microsoft 365 Business Premium donation and 300 Microsoft 365 Business Basic donations will continue to be available.
Some of the Benefits of Microsoft Updates
Since Office 365 was first released, Microsoft has added 24 new apps to their product suite, including Microsoft Teams, Planner, Power Apps, OneDrive, Visio, Stream and Whiteboard. They have also released over 1400 features and capabilities in three key areas: communications and collaboration, security and compliance, and AI and automation. Microsoft is continually developing new products and functions to improve and expand upon their current product suites which, in turn, supports the expediency and functionality of your organisation.
What Do You Need to Do?
The pricing adjustment will automatically come in to place on the 1st of September, so there isn’t much you need to do. If you’re wanting to find out more about how you can leverage the full benefits for your Microsoft NFP engagement, reach out to our team today.
